Birthday Month Top 5 – TV Shows Currently On

These are my Top 5 (ok 6) TV how’s that are currently on.

  1. Masked Singer – I despise the guest panel but the singing and costumes and mystery are great. I’ve guessed at least 2, maybe 3 right off the bat.
  2. Holey Moley- I think it’s returning. Rob Riggle is just hilarious. And how can you not go wrong with a golf hole call Uranus. Jokes aplenty.
  3. The Goldbergs – already mentioned, hilarious
  4. LEGO Masters – one day it would be cool to be a LEGO master
  5. Ghosts – My new favorited comedy. As good as the Goldbergs, I hope its on for awhile
  6. Quantum Leap – like the original, it is great, I hope it’s on for awhile

Birthday Month Top 5 – TV Shows of All Time

These are my top 5 favorite TV shows of All Time. This was tough, I could go Top 10 easily. Growing up, except for Saturday morning cartoons and after school shows ( Ultraman and Batman in syndication), we didn’t watch TV. In fact, my TV consumption didn’t really start until I was well into adulthood. We just didn’t watch TV. We played outside… a lot.

  • The Partridge Family – I loved this show
  • Batman 1966 – need I say more
  • The X Files – watched religiously when it was on
  • Quantum Leap (the old version) watched every episode religiously
  • The Goldbergs (still on, makes me laugh uncontrollably at times)

Birthday Month Top 5 – Comedians

These are 5 comedians that I’ve enjoyed over the years and recently.

  • Eddie Murphy – “and GI Joe got stuck…”
  • Cheech & Chong – Up in Smoke, that’s where I wanna be…
  • Jerry Lewis – Original The Nutty Professor movie is one of the best
  • The Three Stooges – Hyuck Huck Hyuck, OH! a wise guy!
  • Robin Williams – zany off the cuff crazy improv genius

Growing up I loved Jerry Lewis. All those movies with Dean Martin and then the Nutty Professor. I wanted to be Buddy Love. I miss the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Labor Day Telethons. I love the Three Stooges. I can still spend hours watching the classic Moe, Larry and Curly lineup. As I got older there was George Carlin (which we had to secretly listen to because of the language), Richard Pryor and then came Cheech & Chong. I didn’t completely understand the drug related humor initially (until later) but the rest of their skits had us repeating them at school. What can you say about Eddie Murphy on Saturday Night Live (Gumby, Buckwheat) and his first special Delirious. Still hilarious today, The guy is a genius. And then there is Robin Williams. Mork is where we got introduced to him but like Eddie Murphy, anything he touched was gold.

Extra mention – Jeff Dunham and Dave Chapelle.
